Oier from Spain

Oier is an effervescent young man with a strong interest in sports, photography and language. He is on the basketball team at school and occasionally dabbles in soccer as well. He's very close to his family, especially his sister. He likes spending time with his friends, and often takes trips to the beach or cinema with them. His favorite subject in school is history and he hopes to become a journalist in the future. Oier's friends and family describe him as funny, curious and outgoing. He is ecstatic about the opportunity to come to America to meet new people and engage in a new culture.
Lena from France

Lena is a hardworking small town girl who dreams of having a big family and working as a police detective. Of course graduation from high school is still a ways off, so for now she is occupied with sports and friends. Lena has played basketball since she was nine so she is very passionate about it. Living by the ocean, she has many opportunities to go swimming, surfing and diving. She also practices the martial arts style Krav Magra. Her town is small so with her friends she typically goes to cafes and talks. Her family is hosting an exchange student now and she is excited to go abroad too!
Sara from Germany
Sara's friends and family describe her as kind, warm, helpful, funny, and honest. She is a good listener and is always there to support others. Sara's family is very close; they love to spend time together traveling, shopping, cooking, watching movies, or just hanging out and talking. Sara talks to her mother whenever she needs advice and her older sister is like her best friend. In her spare time, Sara enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with her group of friends. At school she gets excellent grades and she especially enjoys studying languages. She can't wait to meet her host family!
