Enumclaw-Based Nonprofit Hosts Annual Gala to Support Cancer Warriors

This incredible night of food, fun, and fundraising will be hosted by Q13 FOX Chief Meteorologist Brian MacMillan and feature the talents of local, professional auctioneer Ryan Massey, all to raise critical funds for cancer Warriors facing the overwhelming financial burden of their fight.

Founded by three Enumclaw women—Katy Tinney-Olson, Kerry Solmonsen, and Shelly Tinney-Miller—Cancer Cartel has spent the last five years providing direct financial assistance to cancer Warriors. Built on an upside-down model, the organization prioritized giving away money first, ensuring every dollar raised directly benefits those in need. While co-founder Shelly has since moved to Coronado, CA, Cancer Cartel remains deeply connected to its Enumclaw roots and the broader community.

The gala will take place at the Foss Maritime Museum in Tacoma, with cocktail hour starting at 5:30 PM and dinner at 7:30 PM. Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring a silent and live auction, gourmet dining, and powerful stories of impact, with 100% of proceeds going directly to cancer Warriors in need.

How to Get Involved

Cancer Cartel is looking for sponsors, auction item donations, and attendees to help make this event a success. Businesses and individuals can donate products, experiences, or financial contributions, all of which will go directly toward funding grants for Warriors. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, offering branding and VIP perks for those looking to support the cause in a big way.
