Enumclaw City Sewer System Inspection From May 11

Beginning May 11 and extending for 5 to 6 weeks, Pro-Vac of Puyallup will cleaning and video inspecting approximately one-fifth of the City sewer system. State-of-the-art methods will be used for coding of pipeline defects and the video will be linked to the City GIS system for easy access by City staff to identify and prioritize problems for corrective measures. The information will increase the knowledge of the system, in particular main line condition and where side sewers connect to the main and their condition, and help identify sources of inflow and infiltration (I/I) that are creating sewage flows that surcharge the City’s system. If the I/I problem is not addressed then as the system expands larger sewer trunk lines will need to be constructed to convey sewage to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
