"Painting encourages me to stop and notice the world around me. When I am painting, I see beautiful shapes and colors. Time seems to stand still and I am filled with peace.

"I am grateful that I have a comfortable place that allows me to be creative, alone or with like-minded friends. I continue to learn from gifted teachers. Age does not limit my artwork. The older I get the more I appreciate being able to improve at something I am passionate about. Pastels bring color to my world."
