Not so fast (courierherald.com) — Enumclaw officials are weighing how, or whether, to allow large battery energy storage systems as a temporary moratorium on new permits nears its end. A proposed facility near Krain Corner has already been scrapped, but Puget Sound Energy is briefing the Planning Commission while the city drafts possible zoning rules or an outright ban. State regulators could still override local decisions in some cases.
