Black Diamond

On October 10 at 1:48 p.m. on the 22000 block of SE 288th St., officers responded with the Fire Department for a tree that fell into a house during a wind storm. A 70 year old male was transported by ambulance to the hospital with a head injury from tree branches that crashed through the ceiling of the residence.

On October 10 at approximately 3 a.m. on the 31600 block of 3rd Ave., Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for three misdemeanor warrants and driving on a suspended license. The driver was cited for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree and booked into jail for his warrants.

On October 6 at approximately 2:48 a.m. on the 21800 block of SE 292nd St., officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at the posted stop sign as well as subsequently accelerating and driving through the residential streets at a high rate of speed. The driver was identified, and check of the male revealed his license was suspended. The male was arrested and booked into the Issaquah Jail for Reckless Driving and Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. The vehicle was not impounded as it was parked at the male’s residence upon contact.

Covington

On October 28 at 10:51 p.m. in the area of SE 256th and 164th Ave. SE, as a driver entered a roundabout, the driver switched lanes without signaling and nearly collided with an officer. Upon contact, the male driver did not answer the officer when asked why he almost collided with the officer. After participating in one Field Sobriety Test and giving a portable breath test of .102, the male would not answer whether he wanted to participate in more tests, so he was turned over to another officer for processing and his vehicle impounded. The female passenger was transported to her residence so she could pick up a vehicle and return for the two children in the vehicle. The male was released after being processed and transported home pending charges for DUI.

On October 28 at 10:47 a.m. on the 16800 block of SE 272nd St., three males were standing around the entrance to a business. Seeing an officer watching them, one male walked into another business. After the officer checked with the other two males, the third male exited the business and was contacted. He stated he was just hanging out with his girlfriend. Check of the male revealed he had a misdemeanor warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Search of the male revealed pieces of burned foil that he admitted to heroin use in the past as well as wire cutters used in past shoplifts. The male was booked into Kent City Jail on his warrant.

On October 28 at 1 a.m. on the SE 272nd St. and 164th Ave. SE, a driver was observed traveling at a very high rate of speed. At one point, an officer followed the driver for quite a distance, however, did not engage in a pursuit. The driver was observed driving in a reckless manner missing a car that had pulled out into the driver’s path and then crossing the center line and passing the slower vehicle.

King County

On November 1 at 12:45 a.m. in the area of SE 232nd St. and 210th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to a DUI. According to an officer on scene, a female driver had been observed driving on 4 flat tires. All air bags had deployed, the front passenger was inebriated, and a 2 year old child was strapped into a car seat in the back seat. Arrangements were made to have the passenger and child picked up as well as to have the vehicle impounded. The female blew breath tests of .166/.163. Check of the female revealed she had a warrant for DUI. She was booked into King County Jail on her warrant as well as additionally cited for DUI.

On October 31 at 11:49 p.m. in the area of SE 208th and 132nd Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed with a large clump of mud covering the license plate, no license plate light, taillight burned out, and no mud flaps. Upon contact, check of the male driver revealed he had a misdemeanor warrant. However, after further check, it was confirmed that another male had stolen his identity a few years ago and the male continues to have ongoing issues with law enforcement thinking he is the male who stole his identity. The male was released with a traffic infraction.

On October 30 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. of October 31 on the 21400 block of Renton Maple Valley Rd. SE, someone entered a fenced in property and unlocked vehicle. Stolen from the vehicle was a battery. Also stolen from the porch were flower pots.

On October 27 between 11 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. of October 28 on the 14100 block of SE 154th Pl. SE, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a guitar with case as well as 4 men’s tailored suits.

On October 24 between 2 p.m. and noon of October 25 on the 21300 block of SE 289th Way, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wedding band and a men’s wallet.

Maple Valley

On October 27 between 6-10:24 a.m. on the 28100 block of 231st Pl. SE, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood. Upon arrival, occupants of the vehicle were contacted. The male was identified by his ID; however, the female gave a false name. When the male opened the passenger door, clothes, blankets, and personal items were observed packed in the vehicle. The male stated he was visiting a friend in the neighborhood. He was informed that the friend should drive them out of the area as the male had a suspended license. The officers left the scene only to return again after finding out that the female had misdemeanor warrants –Reckless Driving and Probation Violation Malicious Mischief, 3rd degree, Domestic Violence. She was booked into the Regional Justice Center on her warrants as well as pending charges for Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.

On October 24 at 3:54 a.m. on the 23800 block of 222nd Pl. SE, a vehicle was observed in a business parking lot. Upon contact, 3 occupants were observed asleep inside. The female occupant was IDed as having a warrant for Theft. The group stated they were waiting for a friend to bring gas, but could not provide a name of the friend. The female was booked into Enumclaw Jail on her warrant. Neither male had a driver’s license, so they were released to walk to a friend’s house nearby.

On October 24 at 12:45 a.m. on the 23300 block of Maple Valley Black Diamond Rd. SE, a driver was observed making a U-turn on a red light. Upon contact, the male stated he was following his GPS. Check of the male revealed he had a suspended license, which he stated he did not know he had. The male was cited for Driving While License Suspended/Revoked, 2nd degree.
