Members of Bear Metal, Tahoma’s Robotics team were invited to attend Flow International Technology Center on Thursday August 6 hosted by John Force, 16 time NHRA drag racing champion and Robert Hight, 2009 NHRA champion. The robotics team, who has worked with Flow’s Customer Technology Center over the past 3 years learning about waterjet cutting and how to apply it to their robot designs, brought their latest invention in for a full demonstration. During the demonstration the team got to meet with John and Robert and show their stuff. “These kids and this program is great,” said Force. “These kids are our future and there is no telling what we will be racing 10 years from now!” he laughed. Flow International is the world leader in waterjet and opened this new technology center in order to better serve their customers with new demonstration capabilities and expanded training classes. “Working with the Tahoma Robotics team has been really rewarding, you can’t help but feel the excitement when you meet with them, and we thought it was important to share this with our staff and visitors that attended today,” said Jeff Bailey Training Director for Flow International.
