Two Local Girls Win Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championships

Sydney Andersen, 14, and Danika Seabrands, 11, took the top prize in their respective age groups during the competition in Yakima.

George Rossman of the Sacred Heart chapter of the Knights of Columbus shared some great news about two local sharp shooters:

On Saturday March 23, local participants, Sydney Andersen, 14, and Danika Seabrands, 11, topped all competition in the girls division, age 14 and 11 in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw State Championship held in Yakima. Previously, as part of the annual competition for youngsters age 10 thru 14 across the State of Washington. The Knights of Columbus will name an International Champion based on the state level competitions.

Each year the local competition is sponsored by Sacred Heart Council 13364 Knights Of Columbus during the month of January.

Last year more than 17,000 sharp shooters participated in over 3,00 local events with girls and boys, ages 10 through 14, competing in their respective age divisions.
