On Oct. 21, a 14-year-old girl with a history of asthma was found on the floor of a local school. Medics found her unable to speak due to shortness of breath. They started treatment and transported her to the hospital. By the time they arrived, she was able to speak in short sentences.

On Oct. 22, medics transported a woman to the hospital for severe abdominal pain due to a surgery a few days prior.Â
On Oct. 23, medics responded to a call for a man who had been drinking and was threatening to kill himself with a knife. Upon arrival, he refused help and did not want to be transported to the hospital. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department, which had also responded to the call, ordered that he be taken to the hospital anyway.Â
On Oct. 23, firefighters responded to a call for a sedan that hit an SUV broadside. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and airbags had deployed. No one was injured.
On Oct. 24, an elderly man with a history of lung cancer called 911 because he was having difficulty breathing. Medics treated and transported him to the hospital. Due to the medic’s treatment, he was feeling better and breathing easier by the time they arrived at the hospital.

On Oct. 26, medics responded to a 22-year-old male who had passed out. The patient had donated plasma two times during the week and had not eaten. He did not want to be taken to the hospital, but after prompting by the medics that he needed to be evaluated, he allowed his parents to take him in.
On Oct. 27, medics responded to an elderly woman who had fallen at home. She was uninjured so medics assisted her up into her chair and reset her medic alert button.
