Gig Harbor Fire, FISH Food Bank Launch Holiday Donation Drive

Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One is asking the community for food and toy donations for the less fortunate.

GIG HARBOR, WA β€” Tis the season of giving, and Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One are hoping the Peninsula is in the holiday spirit.

The fire department confirms that it is teaming up with the FISH Food Bank this holiday season to help bring a little extra joy to local families in need. From now through the end of the holidays, a donation collection bin has been installed at Gig Harbor Fire's Station 50, at 10222 Bujacich Road NW.

They're accepting all manners of donations, including nonperishable foods, toys, and gift cards.

If you can't swing by station 50 during regular work hours, there will a number of "Santa nights" early next month when donations will be accepted at other Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One stations. Each Santa Night runs from 5 to 8: 30 p.m. They are scheduled for:

  • Monday, Dec. 6 at Station 55, 7710 Rosedale Street.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Station 51, 6711 Kimball Drive.
  • Wednesday, Dec 6. at Station 50, 10222 Bujacich Road NW.

The FISH Food Bank has been a part of the Gig Harbor community since 1976. In 2020, they served 10,091 people, 4,210 families a combined 211,911 meals.
