Gig Harbor Prepares For Tree Lighting Ceremony Sunday
The City of Gig Harbor is inviting everyone to come down to Skansie Brothers Park this weekend for a massive holiday event.

GIG HARBOR, WA β Looking to get in the holiday spirit this weekend? Well, look no further! The City of Gig Harbor has officially announced the return of its live tree lighting ceremony this holiday weekend.
The show is set to begin this Sunday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. in Skansie Brothers Park. On top of the annual tree lighting, the show will feature an introduction by JBLM leaders and Gig Harbor Mayor Kit Kuhn.
The show will also feature a live performance from the Acapella Soundsations before and after the lighting, plus a candy-cane toss, and kids can even bring their letters to Santaβ as long as they have a return address on them, the city says Santa will even send them a reply back.

If you can't make it in person, the city will also broadcast the event live on its Facebook page, and is promising more opportunities to mail letters to Santa at future events.
