Third State Title for Gig Harbor Girls Water Polo Team
The Tides beat the Curtis girls water polo team on Saturday, 9-7, for their third-straight state title.

The girls water polo team capped it's third consecutive championship season Saturday night with a victory over Curtis to win the state title.Â
Julia Ponce led the team with 3 goals as the Tides took a 5-3 lead into halftime. Gig Harbor widened the margin to 8-4 after 3 quarters on goals from Shae Purdue, Sarah Campbell and Chanel Long.Â

The team finished their season with a record of 22-1.Â
