Washington Surpasses 70,000 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

The state reported 816 new coronavirus cases and 7 more deaths Saturday.

SEATTLE — The Washington State Department of Health reported 7 more coronavirus-related deaths and 816 new cases of the virus Saturday.

Deaths Saturday were reported in King, Pierce, Spokane, Thurston, and Yakima counties.

The latest numbers mean that a total of 1,857 Washington residents have died and 70,595 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed since the pandemic began.
