3 Young People Injured In Kirkland Shooting; Investigation Continues

Kirkland detectives are still investigating a Kingsgate shooting that left three boys in the hospital Tuesday night.

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” Two teens and a young child are recovering from gunshot wounds after a shooting in Kirkland's Kingsgate neighborhood late Tuesday. According to police, several 911 callers reported gunshots near a home on the 11700 block of Northeast 150th Place just before 11 p.m.

Officers arriving at the scene found three juveniles โ€” ages 5, 13, and 17 โ€” with gunshot wounds inside the home and began providing medical aid before medics rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said the three boys were in stable condition.

Detectives said early indications were that someone fired several rounds into the house from outside and fled the area in a vehicle. Investigators searched the neighborhood for evidence and witnesses and asked any residents with video evidence to reach out to detectives.
