Homeless Young People Invited to 'Count Us In' May 16

Friends of Youth will hold its 2nd annual Count Us In event at , 7525 132 nd Ave NE in Kirkland May 16 from 5-8 p.m.

Young people ages 12-24 who are without a safe and
permanent home are invited to designated sites across King County to participate in the homeless youth count, receive a free meal and receive limited assistance through case managers on site.

Friends of Youth, along with 16 other youth serving agencies in King County will participate in the Count Us In event this year. The goal of this effort is to obtain information about the number of young people without a stable place to live on any given night in King County.

Through increasing our knowledge and understanding of the needs of this population, we can create a community where every youth can live in safe and stable housing.
