Candlelight Vigil to Be Held Friday for Bothell Couple Killed on Highway 2

A candlelight vigil will be held Friday for the Bothell couple killed last week when a snow-laden tree fell onto their vehicle on Highway 2 between Stevens Pass and Leavenworth, according to a family blog called "lovetheowens."

The vigil for the Owen family will be held at 6 p.m. in the Bothell High School parking lot, 9130 NE 180th St. (Note the change in venue – originially it was going to be held at Blyth Park). Everyone is invited to come and pray together for the family, the blog said.

, including: Jeremy Mathias Owen, 22; Jamie Owen Mayor, 24; Steven T. Mayor, 24; and Jessica Janine Owen, 27, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Three of the four remain hospitalized with very serious injuries. An update on their conditions can be found on the lovetheowens blog.

KIRO television reported that Tim and Cheryl Owen were heading to Chelan with family Dec. 21 when the tree fell. He was an insurance executive and she was a manager at Amazon. See the KIRO story here.
