City Council to Begin Tackling 2013-14 Budget During March 23-24 Retreat
The city and council are seeking ways to get citizens involved in the budget process and in helping establish service levels for the coming biennium.

The potentially difficult process of setting a budget for the 2013-14 biennium will begin March 23-24 at the Kirkland City Councilโs annual retreat, and the city is seeking ways to get citizens involved.
The retreat will be at , and it is open to the public. The first day of the retreat will be televised by Kirkland TV, on Comcast Channel 21 and Frontier Channel 31.
During the retreat, the council will receive reports on a recent and the cityโs financial outlook, as well as discuss a possible . It will also discuss ways to get residents involved in setting city service levels for the biennium -- which have been reduced in the last two biennial budgets.
The retreat will be at 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 23 and 9 a.m-noon March 24.
The meeting agenda and associated informational reports will be posted to the website, www.kirklandwa.gov, by the end of the day on Wednesday, March 21.
