Cross Kirkland Corridor Closure At Totem Lake This Month
A stretch of trail will close for three weeks as crews draw closer to completing a new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists in Totem Lake.

KIRKLAND, WA โ Work on Kirkland's Totem Lake Connector will require contractors to close part of the Cross Kirkland Corridor for three weeks, allowing crews to complete work on a new bridge.
The Cross Kirkland Corridor will be closed in Totem Lake between Jan. 16 and Feb. 3, and users will not have access between 120th Avenue Northeast and NE 124th Street.

The work is part of a $22 million project that kicked off in December 2020 and is scheduled for completion by spring. Once complete, the new bridge will link cyclists and pedestrians to both ends of the 5.75-mile trail, along with the Village at Totem Lake.

Doing so, officials said, will solve one of the city's most complicated intersections and make it easier for residents to enjoy the trail and visit the Kirkland's urban center without a vehicle.
