Eastside Food And School Supply Drive Planned This Weekend

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” Ismaili CIVIC is hosting a two-day donation event in Kirkland this weekend, seeking some essentials for families in need and school supplies to equip kids heading back to the classroom. Neighbors can find the drop-off event both Saturday, Aug. 28, and Sunday, Aug. 29, at the Ismaili Jamatkhana in Totem Lake.


Food and school supply drive:

  • Date: Aug. 28 - Aug. 29, 2021
  • Time: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Location: 12505 115th Ave NE, Building D

The event is designed to be safe and contactless, and visitors need only pack their donations in a box and place it in the trunk before arriving, so volunteers can easily unload them. Donors are also asked to wear their face coverings.

  • Canned fruit (low sugar)
  • Canned vegetables (low sodium)
  • White and brown rice
  • Pastas and sauces
  • Boxed or canned meals

  • Cereal
  • Tortillas
  • Spices/seasonings
  • Oatmeal
