Want some good wholesome exercise on a brisk November morning? Sure you do! And DCNA has you covered! Weโre organizing a work party in the eastern portion of the Juanita Woodlands on Saturday, November 5, to clean out blackberries and other invasives so that weโll be ready to plant over 2000 new trees in January.
Weโll meet at 9am on 120th Street, which runs east from Juanita Drive (just below the Plaza Garcia Restaurant). Park on the street. If you haveย hand tools โ loppers, clippers, and shovels โ feel free to bring them, but we will have a supply of tools as well. Be sure toย grab someย gloves, lace up a pair of sturdy shoes, and put on some layers to keep out the early morning chill. But youโll warm up soon enoughโฆand weโll have hot chocolate and coffee for you! There will be plenty to do for kids and adults alike.
Are you game? Let us know by responding on this website or dropping us at note at info@dennycreek.org. Or call Scott Morris at 206-972-9493.
