Farewell Party at Lakeshore Gallery Tonight

The longtime Park Lane fixture Lakeshore Gallery is closing this month with the retirement of owner Georgie Kilrain, who is inviting all to say goodbye Friday from 6-9 p.m.

Lakeshore opened 29 years ago on Lake Street, helping spur somewhat of an art gallery boom in downtown Kirkland that peaked in the 1990s at about 15. The last eight it has been at the Park Lane location.

But sadly, Geogie is retiring and planning a vacation to Italy, with all the inventory and even fixtures on sale.
