Election Day has come and gone, and dozens of King County races are beginning to shape up. Here's what to know in Kirkland.

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” The 2021 election season officially ended Tuesday evening, putting a cap on months of campaigning for dozens of offices across King County. In Kirkland, four city council positions were in play this year, including two races where candidates ran unopposed.

Election night tallies are likely to shift as later ballots are verified and counted in the coming days. By Tuesday morning, just 26 percent of King County voters had returned their ballots, out of the 46 percent projected to participate in this year's general election. Ballots dropped off on Election Day are not reflected in the earliest round of the results.
