Kirkland Construction Worker Injured In Fall On Lake Street
A stretch of Lake Street South was closed Thursday after a construction worker fell about 10 feet, officials told Patch.
KIRKLAND, WA โ A man working at a Kirkland construction site was injured Thursday after he fell 10 feet and landed on Lake Street South, according to the fire department. City officials confirmed the incident on social media shortly before 10:30 a.m. and announced a temporary closure along Lake Street South, between 2nd Avenue South and Park Lane.
A spokesperson for the city told Patch the construction worker was injured but is expected to survive. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center by Kirkland Fire. Police and fire crews cleared the scene shortly before 11:30 a.m. and reopened the street.
