Kirkland Detectives Nab Suspected Prolific Burglars

The department credits tips to Q13's Washington's Most Wanted and Crime Stoppers for helping identify the suspects.

In the early morning hours of Feb. 11, a male and female suspect burglarized a private condominium complex in the Moss Bay neighborhood, stealing a bicycle and a lap top computer. The incident was captured on the complexโ€™s video surveillance system.

The Kirkland Police Department contacted Q13 Fox and Washingtonโ€™s Most Wanted who aired the information in this case on its broadcast. As a result of the broadcast and posting of the case information on its website numerous tips were received via Crime Stoppers by the Kirkland Police Investigations unit.

On April 23, Kirkland Detectives contacted and arrested the 38 year old male and 25 year old female near their residence in Seattle and booked them into the King County Jail for investigation of Burglary. Subsequent to their arrest, Kirkland Detectives obtained and served search warrants on the suspectsโ€™ apartment, two vehicles and a storage unit in Ballard. Detectives recovered two firearms, evidence of drug/narcotics dealing, cash and property believed to have been taken in similar burglaries of residential condominiums in the City of Seattle. ย In addition to the Burglary charge, Kirkland Detectives are recommending charges to include: Possession of Drugs with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
