Kirkland To Hold 9/11 Memorial This Saturday

Kirkland's 9/11 memorial will โ€‹include the police and fire honor guard, music, speakers and the placing of a ceremonial wreath.

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” The City of Kirkland will pay tribute to the many victims who lost their lives during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that took place nearly 20 years ago.

According to the city, it will hold a ceremony to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 lives tragically killed when more than a dozen terrorists associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four domestic planes and crashed them into multiple targets โ€” including the World Trade Center and the Pentagon โ€” throughout the U.S.

The ceremony will take place Saturday, Sept. 11 at 8 a.m. at Kirkland City Hall, which is at 123 5th Ave.
