Kirkland Hosts Free Outdoor Movie Series Next Month

Neighbors can enjoy a free double feature on a giant screen at Juanita Beach in July. Here's what's playing and when.

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” Kirkland families will have a chance to get out and enjoy two movies in the warm weather next month as part of the city's Outdoor Summer Movie Series. Sponsored this year by Ziply Fiber, Kirkland Parks and Community Services will screen back-to-back features July 16 on a new, giant LED movie screen on the north side of Juanita Beach.

Playing first, starting at 3 p.m., is Disney's "Moana," followed by "Captain America: The First Avenger" at 6 p.m. Both movies are free to attend, and neighbors need only bring a blanket and some lawn chairs. A food truck and snack vendor will be at the park to assist with any treat needs.

Anyone with questions about next month's event can give the city a call at 425-587-3336.
