A Kirkland massage therapist facing King County charges of indecent liberties has now also been charged with unprofessional conduct by the state Department of Health (DOH).

In late August the DOH Massage Program issued the unprofessional conduct charge against Peter J. Hunzinger, 26, for allegedly touching a female patientโ€™s breast and pubic area during a massage last February at a Bothell chiropractic clinic where he worked.

Hunzinger also allegedly made comments of a sexual nature while giving a massage to a female minor in September of 2011, according to the DOH charges.

Pending Hunzingerโ€™s response, the charges are the first legal step in the process that could lead to his state massage license being revoked.

Hunzinger faces trial Nov. 6 in King County Superior Court on a felony charge of indecent liberties. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on June 21. Hunzinger is free, having been released from King County Jail on April 25 after being arrested and booked the same day for investigation of the charge.

Hunzinger has no prior criminal history, according to King County charging documents. He was fired from the Bothell chiropractic clinic after the woman reported the incident to the owner.
