KIRKLAND, WA โ€” Kirkland city officials have shared a list of reminders and resources as Puget Sound prepares for a rare dose of snow over the long holiday weekend. According to the latest forecasts, most of the lowlands could pick up 3 to 5 inches of snow between Christmas night and Monday evening.

Things will take an even colder turn after the holiday, with unusually frigid temperatures on tap heading into the new year. By Monday, afternoon highs could fall to the high 20s, with overnight lows potentially dipping into the teens. There's a small chance lows could even hit single digits.
