Kirkland Pups Return For 'See Spot Splash' Next Month

The popular dogs-only swimming event returns to the Peter Kirk Pool next month.

KIRKLAND, WA โ€” Kirkland's human and canine residents are invited to "See Spot Splash" next month, as the city brings back its annual dog swimming event for another year at the Peter Kirk Pool.

This year's event happens Saturday, Sept. 10, serving as a festive send-off to the season. Dogs-only swimming sessions open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the first hour reserved for the smallest pups. Dogs of all sizes are welcome to attend and will have access to the main, large and wading pools.

โ€œSee Spot Splash is the one day of the year when dogs are welcome to dive into Peter Kirk Pool,โ€ said Kirkland Councilmember Toby Nixon. โ€œItโ€™ll be pups only in the pool โ€“ no people. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and create a play-filled experience for your canine companions.โ€
