Joggers found the body of a man in his late 40s with a likely self-inflicted gunshot wound on the footbridge between Juanita Bay Park and Juanita Beach Park on Wednesday morning, a Kirkland Police spokeswoman said.
At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the same area after reports of shots fired, but they didn't find anything, said Officer Audra Weber. Then at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, someone called to report they had found a man's body on the bridge.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office was on the scene Wednesday morning.
