Original story:

Waste Management will not be collecting garbage and recycle materials from its residential customers on routes with Monday service in Kirkland and other Eastside communities because of icy and snowy roads.

In a press release from Waste Management Northwest headquarters in Kirkland, the company said it would double-up collection next week.

In addition to Kirkland, other areas that will not have collection service Monday include unincorporated King County, Redmond, Bothell, Issaquah, as well as Mill Creek and Mukilteo in Snohomish County.

The company is also delaying commercial collection services to the same areas, said Robin Freedman, Waste Management spokeswoman. Trucks will work commercial routes on Saturday instead.

For updates, you can check the companyโ€™s web pages here. Customers will also be getting a recorded phone message Monday about the disruption in service.
