'Rec N Roll' Travels To Kirkland Parks Through August
A new summer youth program is visiting various schools and parks around Kirkland through August, providing free fun for kids 5 to 13.
KIRKLAND, WA โ Kirkland kids have a new option for fun this summer, as the city's new "Rec-n-Roll" van travels to parks and schools every Friday through August. The van packs a host of activities, including arts and crafts, group and yard games, and other fun challenges. Each event is free to attend, and kids can also enjoy complimentary snacks, drinks, and a lunch.
Rec-n-Roll kicked off the season last Friday at Juanita Beach Park, and this Friday will set up shop at Peter Kirk Park. Several other parks and schools are on the docket through the summer, and the final event of the season will return to Juanita Beach Park on August 26.
