Recycle Electronics, Clothes And Fabric In Kirkland On Saturday
Kirkland's "Think Green" recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, offering a free and easy way to offload dozens of items.
KIRKLAND, WA โ Kirkland neighbors have a chance Saturday to offload old household electronics, appliances, clothes and more during a free recycling event at the Northshore Church parking lot. The weekend's "Think Green" recycling event is hosted by the city of Kirkland and Waste Management, and organizers will accept a long list of items. The event is also equipped to shred confidential papers, up to four boxes per vehicle.

Organizers said all electronics will be recycled or refurbished by Friendly Earth, and textiles will go to Goodwill's "threadcycle" program.

- NO broken furniture - dispose as garbage
- NO large furniture - donate at physical Goodwill location or other reuse centers
- NO Styrofoam - throw away or drop off in Kent or Shoreline
- NO appliances - recycle at Factoria Transfer Station
- NO car seats - throw away
- NO paint - use free drop-off locations
- NO batteries - hold for a future event
- NO fluorescent bulbs - use free drop-off locations
