'See Spot Splash' Comes To Peter Kirk Pool In September
Kirkland will host a special swimming event for dogs to cap off the season at the Peter Kirk Pool.

KIRKLAND, WA โ A swimming event tailored specifically for canines comes to Kirkland's Peter Kirk Pool in September, giving dogs large and small a place to come cool off with their humans. The city invites families with furry friends to register in advance to ensure a spot for "See Spot Splash" on Sept. 11.
The celebration is part of Kirkland's festivities to mark the end of the season at the pool, and there will be barbecue food and other vendors on site. Each swimming session will conclude with a cakewalk and a best trick contest with prizes.
The cost to attend is $10 per dog, which includes admission for two humans. Small dogs are welcome in the wading pool, and bigger dogs can take advantage of the large pool. Since space is limited, families can register in advance online or by calling 425-587-3330. Dogs will also need proof of rabies vaccination.
