UPDATE: Repaving to Cause Long Delays in Juanita
Resurfacing work will begin Thursday on 98th/100th in downtown Juanita.

UPDATE, April 11, 9 a.m.: The City of Kirkland says actual repaving work will begin on 98th and 100th in Juanita on Thursday, April 11 and will cause long delays, so drivers should findย alternate routes. Here's the city latest release on the work:
"Commuters who drive, ride, walk, or bus through Kirklandโs Juanita Village area may experience long delays starting April 11 as resurfacing on several roads in the area begins.ย Paving contractors hired by the City of Kirkland will resurface 98th Avenue NE, NE 120th Place, and 100th Avenue NE between NE 116th Street and NE 124th Street.ย The paving is expected to be complete by April 20 and will add to congestion as a result of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) project on I-405 and NE 116th Street Interchange.ย Commuters are advised to use alternate routes.
"During the resurfacing project, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.ย All work is weather-dependent and may require rescheduling.ย Following the re-paving, additional surface work will require lane closures and minimal traffic delays through April 27.

"To lessen the total impacts of multiple road projects in the same area, the City is extending the resurfacing project hours (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) so that more work can be completed each day to shorten the length of the project, giving priority to morning southbound commutes by keeping both lanes open until 9 a.m.; and by the contractor using more efficient equipment and additional inspectors.ย ย The City continues to coordinate with WSDOT on impacts from both agenciesโ projects."
