Two Small Earthquakes Reported in King Countyโ€”Did You Feel Them?

A 2.6-magnitude earthquake hit Lake City at 6:56 a.m. Friday, followed by a 2.3-magnitude quake east of Redmond at 7:34 a.m.

King County experienced two small earthquakesย early Friday morning, seismologists at the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network said.

The first quake was atย 6:56 a.m. and centered in Lake City. Itย measured 2.6 on the Richter scaleย and wasย 19.3 miles deep.ย 

A second earthquakeย took place at 7:34 a.m. and was centered just west of Lake Marcel between Carnation and Duvall. It was 16.5 miles deep.
