Deadly Car Vs Motorcycle Crash In Spanaway

SPANAWAY, WA — At least one person has died in a crash in the Spanaway area Friday afternoon.

According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Ryan Burke, a car and a motorcycle collided on State Route 7 at the intersection with 8th Avenue.

It's unknown what caused the crash or how many people are injured, if any, but WSP has confirmed that at least one person died as a result of the collision.

As of 4 p.m Friday, Troopers are still on scene investigating the crash and say that the northbound lanes of SR 7 will likely remain closed for some time as their investigation continues. They're advising commuters to use alternate routes if possible.
