ELECTION: Denny Heck Leading in 10th Congressional Seat

The Democrat is leading Republican Dick Muri by almost 10 percentage points.

In the race to be the first to represent the newly formed 10th Congressional District, early returns show Denny Heck leading Dick Muri.

Initial results from the Secretary of State's Office show the Olympia Democrat leading the Steilacoom Republican. Here are the results as of 8:59 p.m.:

Candidate Vote Pct. Denny Heck 45,422 54.76 Dick Muri 37,519 45.24
