
Celebrate! With the gardens in full bloom, Lakewold is planning a wonderful week with garden events, horticultural displays, membership specials, and our members-only plant bonus sale. Activities include: floral and plant displays in The Wagner House, Birds of America display and an art show by Lakewood Arts Commission. During this entire week the gardens and The Garden Shop will be open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Celebrate the arrival of spring from May Day to Mother’s Day with Lakewold Gardens!

Birds of America Display and Presentation

- Thirty vintage prints from Toni and Jerry Gibbs’ private Birds of America collection by John James Audubon will be displayed throughout the Wagner House. From this exhibit you will learn about the life and history of Audubon and his contribution to history through art. A special presentation by Jerry Gibbs kicks off our Mayfest activities, with contributions by Tahoma Audubon Society.
Yesterdays Chevelles and El Caminos Car Show

- Founded in 1990, Yesterdays is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and modification of all years of Chevelles and El Caminos. The cars will be on display on the flagpole lawn. For more information about this club visit www.chevelles.net/yesterdays/.
Lakewold Gardens Historical Display

- Take a walk through the sunroom and learn about the history of Lakewold Gardens. What began as “Lot 23 of the Interlaaken Township” has evolved into the 10-acre garden estate we know today. This display will give garden visitors insight into the various cycles and stages of the gardens.
Lakewood Arts Commission Exhibit

- Formed in October 2006, the Lakewood Arts Commission is one of the city’s newest community advisory boards. The mission of the Lakewood Arts Commission, consistent with guidance from the Lakewood City Council, is to assess needs, establish priorities and make recommendations for the enrichment of the community and promotion of its cultural vitality through the arts. This exhibit is a compilation of pieces from local artists and will be on display upstairs in the Wagner House.
Ikebana International #147

- Ikebana International is a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. With chapters all over the world we are honored to have the Tacoma-Olympia chapter presenting over 20 displays in the living room of the Wagner House. The Garden Shop - Keith Phillips Stonework Display
