People will help support library services by shopping for bargains and joining FRIENDS of Lakewood Library during the used book sale at Lakewood Pierce County Library, 6300 Wildaire Road S.W.  Sales will offer a great variety of materials for all ages and interests, including hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction, children’s books, cookbooks, reference books, audiobooks, music and movies. Items for sale include a large number of children’s materials. Â
- Thursday, March 10, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Member Appreciation Night. New members welcome – join FRIENDS of Lakewood Library and receive an attractive tote bag. Each member may purchase up to 25 items. Refreshments will be served.
- Tuesday, March 15, 5:30 – 8 p.m. Members Only Presale. New members welcome – join FRIENDS of Lakewood Library and receive an attractive tote bag. Check-in begins at 3 p.m. Silent auction items will be available. No limits at this sale. Refreshments will be served.
- Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Public sale – all are welcome.
 Residents donated used books, CDs, tapes and DVDs for the sale. Funds from the book sales will help the FRIENDS sponsor events for children and adults as well as furnishings and other needs at the library.
