Tacoma’s toughest girls on skates are ready to face off against their fiercest rivals. After a grudge-match that’s lasted 3 seasons, the Hellbound Homewreckers are poised to take on the Marauding Mollys in the opening bout. Each with season championships under their belts, the Femme Fianna and Trampires are vying for dominance on the track. The winner secures a spot in the championship bout to take place in June.

About Dockyard Derby Dames:

The Dockyard Derby Dames is a not-for-profit league run by the skaters. Founded in 2006, Dockyard has changed from a small group of women with a dream to skate competitively to a five-team functioning league with national status. In 2010, Dockyard became nationally competitive member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). As individuals, they are teachers, accountants, mothers, lawyers, nurses, machinists, social service workers, journalists, designers, students, business women, sales associates, hairdressers, and engineers. Together Dockyard is composed of over eighty passionate, professional, and athletic women who range in age from 21 to 53 and are devoted to fostering sisterhood and good, clean competition.
