One Killed in Train Crash at JBLM on Monday Night
The driver of a pickup truck was killed when an Amtrak passenger train struck the vehicle.

The Olympian is reporting that the driver has been identified as Sgt. 1st Class Justin Strom of Auburn, 34.

The driver of a pickup truck was killed Monday when an Amtrak struck the vehicle on Joint Base Lewis-McChord on Monday night.
Multiple media outlets reported that the incident occurred around 7 p.m., about 40 yards from a public rail crossing on BNSF right of way.

The Longview Daily News reports that more than 153 passengers were on the southbound train bound for Eugene, OR.
The tracks were closed but were expected to reopen Monday night.
