Safe Kids Pierce County Looking For Members
The next general meeting is on Thursday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. at West Pierce Fire & Rescue Station 21, located at 5000 Steilacoom Blvd SW in Lakewood.

Safe Kids Pierce County (SKPC) is a local coalition made of childhood safety and injury prevention advocates.
Members include (but are not limited to): public educators, firefighters, police officers, hospital employees, teachers, parents, car seat technicians, PTA members, youth sports coaches, YMCA staff, and lifeguards.
Safe Kids Pierce County would like to invite the public to join this local coalition to keep our kids safe. The next general meeting is on Thursday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. at West Pierce Fire & Rescue Station 21, located at 5000 Steilacoom Blvd SW in Lakewood.

The topic is sports injury prevention and two presenters will speak to local trends in sports injury, overuse, hydration, concussions, and more. Join us for this informative presentation or to learn more about the work SKPC does in our communities to reduce injuries to youth.
SKPC member benefits include training and grant opportunities, resource sharing, access to safety materials for distribution and participation in programs such as life jacket loaning, car seat checks, custom-fit helmet and life jackets and smoke alarm distribution.
