Tacoma Police Investigate Deadly Monday Night Shooting

TACOMA, WA — One man has died after he was shot late Monday in Tacoma's Hilltop neighborhood.

According to Tacoma Police, officers were first called to the 1300 block of S. 23 Street at around 6:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground, injured.

Officers say they tried to resuscitate the man and called for medics to take him to a nearby hospital. However, shortly after he arrived at the hospital, he died from his injuries.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide, but thus far have not released any information about a potential motive, or any suspects in the shooting.
