Aljoya Named 2011 Buisness of the Year
Aljoya's regular involvement in community events earned the retirement community the top business accolade.
The named as the 2011 Business of the Year at its Dec. 1 award luncheon at the .
Presenting the award, MI Chamber board member Emmett Maloof said the retirement community had brought new energy and vitality to the Town Center, acting as host to candidate's forums, the and auction, the presentation and several other events.
"This buisness is, as one person put it, an 'auditorium' for many significant events in our town," he said. "and word has it, they had the best treats for this year's event."

Aljoya community relations director Molly Cole and representative Sylvia LeMier accepted the award on behalf of the business.
Maloof said Aljoya was a strong supporter of the local arts community, working as a founding member to support host of the film series.

He also noted several events where Aljoya had supported the less fortunate by taking an active role in supporting . It coordinated the successful program and hosted planning meetings for the fundraiser.
