Las Perdices Pinot Grigio 2009     $12

One taste of this value, and you'll wonder why more South American wineries aren't making gobs more Pinot Grigio. Greenish-yellow color, subtle citrus aromas with floral edges. On the palate it has a good attack, balanced acidity and a long finish. Excellent as an aperitif, and perfect with seafood and appetizers, especially smoked fish.

Cava de Crianza Blend 2007        $15

40% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 30% Merlot.  Gold Medal – Argentina Wine Awards.  A mix of fruit and spice aromas incorporate traits from each grape. Malbec contributes mature red fruits, Merlot the spice, and the Cabernet Sauvignon provides notes of pepper. Notes of oak are present but subtle enough to blend seamlessly. In the mouth, each varietal supports this great construction.

Azul Cabernet Sauvignon 2009   $11

100% Cabernet Sauvignon.  1,200 Cases made.  Mendoza - Uco Valley 3,900 feet above sea level.  Deep ruby red in color, with aromas of red ripe fruits and pepper. On the mouth are ripe and complex tannins with a fine sharpness that gives this wine a great personality, of middle intensity with a long finish that fills your mouth with flavors. This wine pairs well with cheeses like Gruyere and Parmesan, as well as spicy foods and red meat.

Las Perdices Bonarda 2008          $19

Mendoza - Uco Valley 3,900 feet above sea level.  Good dark ruby. Crushed blackberry, black cherry, bitter chocolate, violet and a gamey nuance on the smoky nose. Fat, pliant and sweet, with saline and smoky notes to the savory dark fruit, chocolate and game flavors. There's something Syrah-like about this Bonarda. Has the mid-palate material to buffer its substantial ripe tannins. Finishes with a note of licorice.
