Fireworks Sold Through July 4 on Mercer Island
Fireworks sales are permitted on Mercer Island from June 27 through July 4, but discharge of fireworks are only permitted on July 4 on private property.

Consumer fireworks sales began at Mercer Island's sole fireworks stand on June 27, located in the Rite Aid parking lot on SE 32nd Street at the corner of 78th Avenue SE.
The sale of consumer fireworks by the stand, run by the Mercer Island Masonic Lodge, Mercer Island VFW, and Mercer Island Kiwanis to manage the sale of “consumer” fireworks until 11 p.m. on July 4.
With 900 retail fireworks stand licenses issued this year, State Fire Marshal Charles M. Duffy is reminding communities that, “Personal fireworks require personal responsibility.”
