Islanders Weigh in on Debt Limit Debate
Mercer Island Patch sought out opinions of shoppers Wednesday night at the North-end QFC.
After earlier in the week about the broader theme of repaying debts, Patch homed in on more specific reaction from locals on the politics of the debt limit debate currently unfolding in Washington D.C.
The Federal government must raise the $14.3 trillion debt limit by Aug. 2 or begin defaulting on some of its fiscal obligations — which include paying the military, social security, and servicing the national debt.
