Latest Mercer Island Forecast: Snow Tapering Off Wednesday Evening

The National Weather Service says snow will remain likely in Mercer Island and will change to a snow-rain mix Thursday morning.

Now that the snow has finally arrived on Mercer Island, the next obvious question is "When will it end?"

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, snow will remain likely in Mercer Island into the evening hours Wednesday. Daytime accumulations are expected to total 2 to 4 inches

A winter storm warning will remain in effect until 8 p.m.

Overnight, the forecast calls for less than half-and-inch of mainly snow, likely over 200 feet — though a mix with rain is possible— and a steady temperature around 31 degrees. On Thursday, the National Weather Service says a snow and rain mix is likely, but the snow level will rise to 700 feet. High temperatures will be around 36 degrees.

Then it's back to our normal pattern: rain, rain and more rain. Rain showers are expected to begin Thursday evening and continue well into next week.
