Local Attorney Earns $1.5 Million Bail for Alleged Threat on Seattle Judge
Mercer Island attorney John C. Siegel is in King County Jail after reportedly threatening Seattle Municipal Judge Kimi Kondo.

Rick Anderson of the Seattle Weekly reports Mercer Island attorney John C. Siegel allegedly threatened to kill Seattle Municipal Court Judge Kimi Kondo on March 10 and is now sitting in the King County Jail on $1.5 million bail.
According to the Seattle Weekly, Siegel was remanded into custody after he attempted to leave the King County Courthouse without posting bail in a domestic violence harassment case invoking his ex-wife. He reportedly made the threat in the presence of a bail bondsman, who took the threat seriously. At his arraignment a plea of not guilty was entered.
